Take the first two letters from my name (Patty), then the first two letters from the names of my two favorite men in my life (David & Magnum)...and there you have it; "Padama"!!!

Mini PaDaMa Vaca...

David spoke the words, “Wanna head up to New Hampshire this weekend?”. So without hesitating, “Can’t wait!!” was my response, while Magnum was barking with excitement in the background.

The plan was to leave the house immediately after getting home from work on Friday, so we packed & got everything ready the night before. I get out of work earlier than David (3:30) so I have a little play~time before he arrives home. On that note, I joined a few work~peeps for a drink (or two!!) after work that Friday at a close~by bar & grille (close to work anyway, in RI… I have a 35-40 minute commute home). I told them I could only go for one drink but of course once you’re there & having a great time… the time just passes by without even realizing that HEY… I’M LATE!! Yeap, I got home 50 minutes late. Thankfully, Mah~Man is ‘very’ understanding & said he was glad that I had a good time with my friends (AAAAAAW… Who’s better than him??).

From that point, we rolled out of the driveway (cuz David had packed up the jeep while waiting for me to arrive home) and headed up north (YAY!!). Excitement is in the air for all of us (especially Mags… he loves field~trips with Mommy & Daddy).

Weekends spent in Wolfeboro are always amazing. We always love the outdoor activities with Magnum (hiking, geo~cacheing, walking, jogging and/or window~shopping) “except” the weather was not compromising. It was a wash~out!! Unfortunately for Mags, mommy loves the rain and so upon wakening on Saturday morning, I took Magnum out for a morning walk/jog.
Mags especially loves it when we (Mommy, Daddy & Mags) settle in for some movie~time cuz we all gather together on the couch/chair (we bring the chair over to the couch & connect it in an L~shape pattern so we all fit on it) and huggle (e.g. hug, snuggle and/or cuddle).

We spent the rest of the morning/afternoon eating badly, watching movies & fooling~ around (winky~wink!!). Oh come on~this is what grown~ups do when on vacation (and when home and…). Anyway (hee~hee), I had made reservations for later that night at our favorite local restaurant, Mise’ en Place. We look forward to dining here, especially this time of year (fall) since they have a phenomenal Pumpkin Ravioli dish on the menu. As always, it was Yummi~licious!! We always share a bottle of nice red wine with dinner and then we head over to The Wolfeboro Inn to finish off our night out on the town. Then, we finish off our evening with a night~cap (or 2 or 3 or???) back at home & of course, we pig~out with munchy type foods.

Oh, I almost forgot… whenever in Wolfeboro, I must go visit a certain gallery on the main strip called Kalled Gallery. I absolutely LOVE this gallery… each time I visit, I have a set dollar amount to purchase another great piece of art. My first purchase was this whimsical wine rack.

Last December, (for my 1st time) David brought me to his NH home for my (40th) birthday, as well as to celebrate our first Christmas together, and that was the start of my love for this gallery. (This NH trip will become an annual event for us – yay!).

I had seen the aforementioned wine rack & couldn’t get it off my mind. Each time we went back up to NH, I just had to visit this gallery & noticed that same wine rack still sitting there. I finally broke down & purchased it (of course after making sure that David also liked it enough to bring it into our home). It took a little convincing but we finally agreed on it. Now that I have this rack, my thoughts are now focused on another piece at the gallery… a wall vase with flowers (all made of wood… Cherry wood, Dark Oak wood & also Birch wood)… GORGEOUS!!
This trip is when I purchased this item (I love visiting this gallery). This one item does not meet my set dollar amount so this means I can purchase another item (Ha, Ha!!)…
I'd seen this mini tapestry hanging in the gallery and thought it was nice and all, but upon closer inspection, it was the whimsical wrought iron rod from which it hung that sealed the deal. Is that sharp or what!
Let's see; wooden flowered wall vase? Check!
Wrought iron rod with tapestry? Check!
Preset dollar amount reached? CHECK! ;-))

While I was there, I had set my eyes on a very cool indoor water fountain and also an ecclectic floor vase that stands very high (hmmm, which one will be my next purchase??). I have almost 2 months before our next trip up here to make up my mind.

Sunday morning normally finds us up early, scrubbing the house (gotta leave things neat and tidy for the next time), and then on the road home (to catch the Pats game!!). This weekend, however, the Pats weren’t playing until 8pm, which allowed us the luxury of relaxing for an extra half-day before starting the cleaning/packing/driving process. The weather outside was cold and dreary so we just relaxed for most of the morning into the afternoon doing things that grown~ups do (hee~hee)… What? I said it was cold and raining out, remember? We had to keep ourselves busy (and warm)… indoors!

Eventually, we headed out at an hour that allowed us to arrive home in time to settle back into reality by catching the Pats game. A great end to a great weekend!

But then came Monday, and another work week. That’s when it was really back to reality!!
